BAIL THIS OUT BITCHES

11:53 AM Posted In Edit This 3 Comments »
STOP IT!

Goddammit I am so motherfucking sick and tired of hearing about the dems and the reps fighting and fighting over the bullshit created by big greedy corporate bastards and the very people we elected to represent our country in the first place!! Big bad money machine pays the ones in charge to make sure they don't lose their asses and that all the rules and laws that everyone else has to abide by don't apply to them and they get to control the people with their cashflow and big stupid laws and when every single one of them have fucked up to the point of no return (such as now) they still get to hold on to their coke habits and whores and nannies and big cars and caviar jars and power and control and they will never ever know what it's like to say no to their kids day in and day out and let them go to bed with hungry bellies because there just isn't anything left in the cupboards.... Bail me out you stupid bitches. Give me a hundred grand and I could make those payments to the loan company for my truck, I could afford the loaf of bread and gallon of milk, and I could run out and buy a home to call my own, I could pay off all that credit card debt and then - all those motherfuckers in the big money machine that want to be bailed out now wouldn't have to be. They wouldn't have our debts to collect on and oh my fucking gawd the housing market would rebound and people could all have one. Maybe too if I am really frugal with that money - I could afford a pair of tennis shoes....

Here's my bail out plan for the good ol' USA: Ok - so there are roughly 350 MILLION people living legally in the United States. GIVE EVERY SINGLE UNITED STATES LEGAL CITIZEN $100,000. (EVERY MAN WOMAN AND CHILD - AS LONG AS THEY ARE LEGAL citizens)
This would only cost $35,000,000,000,000....
GOD DAMN IMAGINE THAT!!
What's it really matter when it's all pretend money anyways??

DAY TWO - AN ATTEMPT AT SOMETHING

5:26 AM Posted In Edit This 3 Comments »

Here I sit at 5:30 in the morning, staring at my coffee cup. I WANT a ciggy to go with it. Real bad. But it's been raining here and my smokes are on the back porch. Around 1 or so this morning, PPHead went out and grabbed a few little bags of hard candies to subdue us when we are in a position where we cannot smoke. I haven't grabbed one yet. I think I would like to treat this as a game with myself. See how long I can make myself say no to me....
Today will be interesting to say the least. Rye has been sick with fevers and sore throat since Friday, and Shane woke me up an hour ago complaining of the same. I am thinking they both have Strep, but will take them to the pediatrician as soon as I can get them in, just to be sure. At least now they won't have to endure being around smoke while they are sick. No smoking in the house or vehicles. Healthier for the kids. Healthier for all of us.

DAWN OF A NEW DAY

2:39 PM Posted In Edit This 4 Comments »

Well.

Here we are again at yet another day one. It's time to quit smoking. After 20 years.

Today, we made some baby steps. We took all of the ashtrays out of the house and moved them to the garage. No more smoking at the computer, so maybe my typing speed will improve.

We have 10 packs of cigs left. After they are gone, we have pledged to buy no more. Thank you Pall Mall for being the cheapest cancer sticks on the market besides the floor sweepings kind. You can still send me free memorabilia if you want....

No more smoking in the vehicle. This will probably improve my driving skills as well, and help keep me on the right side of the road.

I swear not to go into the bathroom and shut the door and stand on the toilet and light a ciggy and try to blow the smoke out of the exhaust fan. This time I'm serious.

I promise one of us will be dead, or we will be fully divorced by the end of the first two weeks, but in the end, at least one of us will be a non-smoker. We should have made a pact to just NOT talk to each other at all until this is allllllll over.

If you'll buy, I'll fly to the store and get us a big honkin bag of hard candy. We could occupy our oral fixations with root beer barrels and butterscotches, peppermints and lemon drops. The doctor is going to want to know why my kidneys quit in less than a week from the diabetes, but at least I will have sweet sweet breath.

So that's today. Day one. Of the rest of my life. On the road to smoke free. Amen.

I'm going outside now....

BOUND AND GAGGED

So things aren't looking so hot for anyone these days when it comes to money. PPHead and I sat down last night and tried to discuss what to do about our situation, and one big thing we know we have to do is quit smoking. HOW is the question that remains in my mind. For us it would free up about $300 a month that we could use to pay bills - and yes I know what you are thinking.... "How can you bitch about money if you waste it on cigarettes?" Yeah we know that it would not only save a ton of cash, but it would also be healthier for everyone in our home if we quit. Again I say HOW?? Losing weight would be healthy, eating more vegies would be healthy, and all kinds of things would be more healthy all the way around. Can we justify spending the money on meds like Chantix and Alli for things like that? Are we supposed to just DO IT and never look back? If the very things that can save us money and improve our health are more than just bad habits - HOW are we supposed to do it? If it were not an addiction rather than a little habit, it would seem to be much easier. But - what choice do we have? More and more it seems like our ability to choose anything we do is being taken away from us.....

DRIVE FINANACIAL SERVICES A RIP OFF

Last month our truck loan got sold to a company called Drive Financial Services. As I am sure everyone knows, things are getting tough all over for the middle class working folks, and we have had to choose between paying the electric and other bills, groceries, ect, and making the truck payment. Needless to say we called Drive Financial and told them last week that we would be unable to make the payment today. The customer service person told us to call back on the due date and they would help us out with a deferment on the loan. So of course I called back today, and the customer service person on the phone this time told me that they don't do deferments at all - but they might be able to work something out with us if we were a victim of the hurricanes. Oh yes, here in Kansas. So then I ask them for the phone number of the actual physical office in Texas, and they tell me there isn't one. The only place I can call is the same number I called which is probably located in another country judging from the poor English that was being spoken in my ear. I asked to talk to someone from the USA, and got hung up on THREE times. I asked for a pysical address and got FOUR different P.O. boxes, and one address at 1010 West Mockingbird Lane, Dallas Texas, 75247. How can a corporation NOT have a phone number to the physical office??? How can a company who surely knows that people are having to struggle right now NOT offer a little help to customers who have paid on time every month and JEEEEEEEEZ it's not like I am asking for a FREE TRUCK??? How can they get away with LYING outright to customers?? "Oh I'm sorry but you were misinformed ma'am" does not make this situation ok. It is NOT ok to tell a customer one thing one day, and then turn around the next week and tell them an entirely different story. It is NOT ok to leave consumers unable to contact the actual office where the company is located. It is not right to use people who can barely speak English to deal with American customers who can hardly understand a word they say. What a crock of steaming shit.

IT IS NOT OK TO GIVE 700 BILLION DOLLARS TO A BIG HAIRY FUCKING BANK FULL OF MOTHERFUCKERS WHO OWN 40 CARS APIECE WHILE THE WORKING CLASS PEOPLE WHO WILL PAY THAT DEBT CAN'T AFFORD TO PUT FOOD ON THE MOTHERFUCKING TABLE!! SHIT JUST AINT RIGHT....

FINALLY I CAN UPLOAD PHOTOS AGAIN!

Our "home" for the night....
We did have a lot of fun. On the ride home, we were all daydreaming out loud about getting a little pop-up camper and even a boat, and keeping it all out at the lake in one of their self storage units. Lots of people have motor homes and stuff stored there so they don't have to haul it so far for camping. Of course the daydreaming soon turned to "dream on" when we got started on having our own cabin out there, fully stocked and so on. Sure is nice to dream I guess. So here is some more photos....

Halie caught the first bass of the day.... yeah - it had to be thrown back....

Shane Michaels' good sized catfish - still not big enough to keep....

Fishin' and smilin' for momma!!

The sight of a sunset before bedtime. I think we are going to go again on Saturday if we can scrounge together the gas money. It's only about an hour away from home, so not too far really. The only other thing we need is food, which we would have to buy anyway, so it's very very cheap entertainment!! There really is nothing like a campfire on a chilly fall evening. Yum!

GONE FOR THE WEEKEND

9:53 AM Posted In Edit This 2 Comments »

Today we are off to the lake to do some camping and fishing before the season of cold and snowmobile exhaust set in!! Yes the fall is here, and time for one last hurrah. Hopefully we will catch a big fish to show off, or at the very least be covered in sand up to our eyeballs. The stress of every day life has set in, and we have all suddenly gotten the urge to run off and escape it - even if it is only for a day or two. PPHead won't have another weekend off for a few months, so we said - let's gooooooooooooooo!! Hope ya'll have a good weekend too!!

MY NEW FAVORITE TV SHOW - "FRINGE"

9:11 PM Posted In Edit This 1 Comment »

Forget about science creating diet pills and DNA maps - you have got to check out the new show on Fox called "FRINGE" - it will blow your mind!! If you haven't seen it, you should totally go to the website and watch the first two episodes. On Tuesdays, I will now be turning off the telephones, putting the kids to bed early, and parking my ass in front of the TV. First "House" is on at 7 my time, then this show at 8. Way to go FOX!! This show reminds me of something that good ol' Dean Koontz would write about, and if you have ever found yourself lost in one of his novels - you will be mezmerized by this program. It's kind of scary I have to tell you. Scary because the possibility of truth in fiction exists.......

LET'S GO WAY BACK SHALL WEEEEEEEE!?

Chilliwack - My Girl (gone gone gone)

I have been trying to figure out what the heck this song was for about a year now - never could figure it out until today. Everyone pop yer fat burners, throw on the legwarmers, and let's work it out with CHILLIWACK!!!! A Canadian band of course ( I HAD NO IDEA ) that was like - totally rad back in the 80's. I used to sing this song with my Dad and we would act like big ol' goofballs together. Ya gotta love this stuff - it's just way to good to not be loved!

OK - well maybe you will at least get a good giggle!!

CONVERSATIONS WITH CANADIA

10:03 PM Posted In Edit This 8 Comments »

"I have this watermelon growing on my fence - looks like a set of balls..."
"I don't know what the hell is wrong with my garden - but I will put a picture of the ballermelon on my blog for you to look at."

Even though George Bush is always listening to our phone calls, Mackey and I get to talk to each other once in a while for a few hours at a time. She has posted her memories of the conversation, and now I will share with you a few of mine.

"That is one great cat."
Uhhhhh huhh huh huhhhhh "Mouse you mean?"
"I would say at least $100 for a blow job. Unless the guy was totally hot."
"That was just Jack talking again...."
"I wonder if there are squirrels in Mianus?"
"OMG I swear no one is on the other phone - everyone here is asleep - OMG did you hear that?? I am so going to pee my pants."
"I bet I could hide a couple of third graders under there."
"If you want, you can try pulling out the table with them. I have totally done it before!"
"We could totally steal his foreskin - and make a purse out of it."
"Is that your phone or my phone? Are you sure? OH shit the alarm is beeping!!"
"Can you see Uranus from Mianus?"
"He doesn't like peanut butter - I tried it."
"We could so start our own business making foreskin purses, and call it SKINNY!!!"

I know - I love the Mackey too - I am so moving to Canada....

"How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?"

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DADDIES!!

6:12 AM Posted In Edit This 4 Comments »
I prefer to remember this day as it was originally in my heart and soul - my Daddy's Birthday! AND it is also DaddyJarBucks' birthday as well, but he is on vacation I think at the moment. I got you some lovely St. Barts villa rentals so you can go and relax and enjoy another place on this planet.... Ok well if I had won the lottery this weekend I would have.... It is the thought that counts right? Well anyhow, HAPPY BIRTHDAY or HIPPY BATH DAY in my Dad's case, to the both of them. I love you both and hope the day is full of surprised and big chocolatey cakes!!

FUN AT THE FAIR 2008

6:33 AM Posted In Edit This 6 Comments »

Shane Michael with his pop can art - his is the lamp above his head....

Riley and my nephew standing underneath their paintings they made for the fair....

Smokey the Bear of course!

Rye painting on a wall at one of the booths.....

The palm tree dude... these are ginormous sculptures of palm trees, with working lights in them and everything. Had to snap a photo of them to show Spicy!!

This trip was taken with the kids' school, so we did the educational side of the fair for the most part. We got to see how cows are milked and even got a free ice-cream cone! It was for sure a very full day, and I was completely worn out. My pillow never felt so good....

LIFE HAS BEEN BUSY BUSY BUSY....

7:09 AM Posted In Edit This 2 Comments »

..... Been looking for a job, looking forward to the wonderful employment screening. Helping my mom as much as I can, getting ready for the fair, going to school, being a little sick.... I think I inhaled too much paint and spray glue or something. On accident. My lungs are on fire. Ick. My mom is ok and home, just really really jacked up and in quite a lot of pain. Sure did scare the life out of all of us. I still need to get to the lot and take photos of her car all the way around. Still wondering what direction my life is supposed to take from here. Just can't decide what to do really. I feel kind of lost at the moment....
