Sure, natural gas is only $1 a gallon at the few pumps in existence, but what happens when EVERYONE needs it? The price goes up of course.
Hell, I pay $60 a month to cook our meals and take showers - that is the ONLY thing our home uses natural gas for right NOW. Then what happens when natural gas is needed for both homes and fuel for transportation? The price goes through the roof, the middle class suffers the most, and big business gets even bigger, even more powerful, and even richer.

I listened, I researched, and I pondered.
My vote - is NO.

But.... we should be using the power of the sun and wind. If we don't - it's just stupid. How about some incentives for individuals and businesses who install solar panels? Or land owners who allow a few wind turbines on their land for a bit of a profit? THAT could help, but will it ever happen?

THIS - is my refrigerator. I just returned home from grocery shopping which is the absolute most awful vile disgusting task I have to do as a human being. Guess how much my groceries cost?? Oh - $200. FOR A WEEKS WORTH OF FLIPPIN FOOD!! There are a few more items in my pantry of course, along with some frozen vegetables and a case of generic soda pop but I got SHIT for my $200 let me tell you what preacher man Iamsopissedoffmadandiratethaticouldliterallykicksomeonesfaceoff!!!
AND I did certainly use a buttstack of coupons and bought generic for the most part. So I am walking around the store and noticing that a block of generic cheddar cheese is now close to NINE dollars - unfuckingbelievable!! Coffee creamer - EIGHT bucks - INSANE! All of your basic milks eggs and breads are rediculously high priced as well - OUTRAGEOUS!! Is FOOD supposed to be a god damned luxury item now?? Shall I starve my kids (Well at least they wont suffer from childhood obesity eh?) and allot them a bowl of bread crumbs and a spoon of peanut butter once a day?? Oh WAIT NOOOOOOO cuz peanut butter is FUCKING EIGHT DOLLARS TOO!!

SO WHY is everything going up? Yeah - it's that pesky OIL situation again. You know the stuff the war is all about but our government would have you believe that it's totally about terrorism. Yeah. Ok. Can anyone say "brainwash" much??
Anyhow, so things cost more to make cuz the ingredients cost more to ship cuz the price of gas is causing strokes and the selling of body parts to fill means of transportation to deliver the basic needs of humanity. Oil costs more = gas costs more = food costs more = everything costs more = truckers can't run = people are losing their jobs = people are losing their homes = more homeless shelters full up = food banks are empty = neighbors can't afford to help neighbors anymore = this country is going to SHIT! But is anyone doing anything about it?? Hell NO. WHO CAN do anything about it?? I REALLY WANT TO KNOW... because all I ever hear from the mouths of politicians is "greedgrumblepaymemoreandidontreallygiveashitinrealityjustpayme"
OH MY GAWD I totally just got a phone call from some politicians camp asking for support of something called the PICKENS PLAN which is in complete support of using wind and natural gas and reducing this country's dependence on foreign oil.... Christ what a novel fucking idea....

I was going to go on and on for a much longer time about prices going up and wages staying the same and how people on food stamps should not be allowed to buy cookies and potato chips but now I have to go and see what in the hell this guy things he can do.... WTF.... Over.

I think I have had enough....

I found these weird caterpillars in my sunflowers the other day. I know I got lucky with the other ones ending up being butterflies, but I think these are some kind of nasty pest. So far the only thing I can seem to find close to it is a leek moth....

They started out inside the stems of the sunflowers, then they rolled themselves all up inside the leaves. They have some kind of silky stuff they use to seal it all up around them, and then they eat the leaves from the inside out. I plucked a couple of them off and put them in a jar in the house. I want to see what they do next. If anyone knows what they might be, please let me know!

I was given a set of the most beautiful freshwater pearls today. They are a set of earrings and are the most gorgeous shade of pink, so shiny and silky. Of course I made them a "growing up gift" for Rye, and her eyes were as big as saucers when I gave them to her. She immediately booked it for her room, dressed up, and had me put the earrings in for her. She brought out all of her tea party sets and begged Halie to borrow her pearl necklace for her dress up time. (Halie's set of pearls were passed down to her from her grandmother.) So there she is, all dressed up and having a tea party with her stuffies! Later on, she totally batted her pretty little eyelashes until daddy came to have some tea too. Real people are much more than the stuffed variety!
