Yes - I am a dumbass.... I ran out into the yard and tried to grab a few. Most of the hail stones were quarter sized, but they were kinda melty by the time I got them. (And yes I waited till it stopped before I went outside - I just got a little wet.)
This is what our BRAND NEW air conditioners look like now. I dunno how to get these things undented. We don't have renters insurance so.... yeah. The truck did end up with some damage, and the pool got a hole in the side. I patched it from the inside and the outside, so hopefully it will hold up for the summer at least.
I know a lot of folks got even bigger hail around Kansas, and my heart goes out to you all. There were also some tornado warnings, but I hadn't heard if anyone was hurt. Lots and lots of property damage - again. I guess that matching pair of Sector watches is out for me an Halie - at least until we pay to have all this junk fixed!!

Okay...I just watched the video. I'm sorry but I was laughing my ass off the whole time. It's soo not my experience to be in a storm where someone is hollering to get in the closet. That hail was insane. Nipple hail. Must have been damn cold up there where it came from.

That video was the best! I felt like I was there with you, I almost got up to go in the closet!! Hail can and will cause a lot of damage. I hope yours was minimal.
Good video. I did one too but wiped it out cause I thought it wasn't good enough. No "oh shits" or anything at all but the sound of hail. However my hail was bigger than your hail, and it was even bigger before I was brave enough to go get it. What fun huh!?
