FINALLY PLAYING IN THE GARDEN!!

Yipppeeee!!
It finally warmed up enough to put in the garden!! We spent the weekend removing still more brush from the ice storm at the beginning of winter, and planting seeds and vegetables. I got my herb garden in, and I hope it takes. I put it right by the back door so I can just run out and grab what I need really quickly. I started it from seed though, so we shall see what happens. I got in my potatoes, onions, cucumbers, zucchini, eggplant, peppers, beans, peas, and about 24 tomato plants in 4 or 5 varieties. I put in some yellow ones this year because I have never tasted them before. I am sooo excited and INSANELY sore. I need one of those walk in tubs to take a bath in because it hurts to move at this point. I didn't know your ass cheeks had muscles in there that could hurt so bad - owwww! I still have a ton of seeds to put in, and hopefully by next weekend I can get it all done!

We had a killer weekend here too! I'm red from being outside too much and our lawn received some serious and much needed attention!

...now I should go see if Mackey got those 20cm of snow I heard they were in for...yuck!

I'm not gonna be able to do a garden this year (we're gonna be grateful if we can grow anything other than weeds!), but I'm looking forward to next year. I'm worried, though. Got a pretty little ivy-esque plant & it died within a couple of months. I'm afraid I have a black thumb...

I tried to plant a garden for the first time this year, but all my plants died when it was stormy and hailed.

Last year we had 8" of snow 3 weeks before the killer tornado that wiped the town out... Mother Nature is getting senile, I think... lol
It WAS a fabulous weekend in Kansas, although we haven't paid for our plot in the community garden yet, so we haven't got to play in the dirt! :( 15'x15' lots in the comm. garden are only $10 for the summer and the water is free... how good of a deal is that?
