THE MEANING OF LIFE

6:01 AM Posted In Edit This 6 Comments »

Has anyone figured it out yet? I would really like to know. All I can seem to gather from Monty Python is that you are born, you pay taxes, then you die. At least the movie was funny. Again. I just wonder if there is some big point to it all, or if we are all just a bunch of cells on a giant hamster wheel....

I really want to go back to bed and spend the whole day sleeping. I feel like I haven't gotten any sleep at all for months and months. I think I have arthritis or something because every part of my body takes turns hurting....

I have been offered a book scholarship for next semester. All I have to do to get it is sign up for Magazine at school. I'm going to do it. I can see the finish line now. I'm almost done. Now PPHead is looking at taking classes too. He filled out the application form and is turning it in today. He doesn't know for sure what he wants to be when he grows up yet though...

CARVING THE PUNKINS!!

11:09 AM Posted In , , Edit This 7 Comments »

We had a blast carving our pumpkins on Sunday! This was the first year that Shane and Riley ever got to actually "carve" them, with the aid of those little tools you can buy. They turned out pretty neat looking, but I will have to put up photos of them all lit up on Halloween! We baked our pumpkin seeds, which disappeared in about 10 seconds. The kids are sooo excited they are just bouncing off the walls around here. Good luck to their poor teachers at school this week! I must mention that we did all of this AFTER the race - WHOOOOT! GO JIMMY JOHNSON!!! (He is going to win again you know!)

SO I'M DONE HAVING BABIES NOW...

10:52 AM Posted In , , Edit This 5 Comments »
And I want a UK Tummy Tuck! Of course I can't afford one because my insurance does not cover things like this, but it sure would be nice. Why would anyone want a tummy tuck you ask? Ohhh well lemme tell ya. For myself as a woman who carried four babies to term, one of those being a C-Section delivery, I no longer have a tummy. I think I could house little baby kangaroos in what is supposed to be my tummy. Now I know some women are just lucky and bounce right back after having kids, some woman work really hard to achieve that back to before the baby came body. I on the other hand just sat back and waited for it to go away. I still blame the C-Section though, as I think it permanently killed any muscle I used to have there. Again with my excuses... But luckily for people like me, (Men with beer bellies included) the modern age of medicine has given us plastic surgery and tummy tucks. If I could have one done, and have my boobs reduced and lifted, I might even be able to run again without getting two black eyes! How insanely cool that would be! If I ever win that lottery, I have always thought that would be one of the first things I would do. Not without a ton of research and investigation first. Looking for the right doctors, what other people's experiences have been with that particular one, plus a myriad of other things, would have to be checked out before I ever went under the knife. Would you do it if you could?

THE WEEKEND AND FALL BABIES

5:03 AM Posted In , , Edit This 14 Comments »

I started this piece from a photo I took a few years ago. I think it should be hanging up in one of those really groovy Las Vegas hotels or something. Yeah now to find a buyer....
This weekend is full of all kinds of fall festivals around here! There are a lot of free shows, and I think even a parade. I am going to take the kids to go out and wander around because as usual PPHead has to work. It should be interesting anyways. I don't think I will take them to the haunted houses this year because I want them to be able to sleep at night. The one Halie and I went to a while back would scare the crap outta the two little ones. I would never hear the end of it. Next weekend we have Shane Michael's birthday party, and then it's already time to gear up for Thanksgiving. I cannot believe this year has gone by so fast!
In other news, Halie's sister had a baby boy on Thursday. Just a baby she is herself. I think Halie is going up to the hospital to see her today. I hope sister tells her it's not so fun at 19 years old. I was that age when I had Halie.... I have to laugh at my ex-husband who is now a grampa at age 38 - toooo funny! Riley's Kindergarten teacher had her baby last Friday, a little girl named Ava - such a beautiful name! She will be bringing her up to the school soon for all the kids to have a peek. The gal I took the pregnant photos of also had her baby, a little girl I think, but I haven't heard the details yet. Everyone must have been busy this year or something! So now we just wait on our favorite Miss Sassy to pop out her little bundle, which I think has to be a little girl!! :) I can't wait to see photos of that wee one!

DRAWING PROJECT

4:50 AM Posted In Edit This 6 Comments »

I keep dreaming about Bush furniture. Like they really have any furniture in the bush!? So this is my last piece to be inserted into my time-line drawing. This is a photo I borrowed, then used the pencil filter to change it over into something my brain can understand. Just looking at the photo, I cannot tell where the lights and darks should be. That and I can't seem to get the curves right. When I get it all finished I will take a picture of it and post the whole thing. It's really kind of neat!

CONVERSATIONS WITH MY REAR VIEW MIRROR

7:37 AM Posted In , , Edit This 9 Comments »

So yesterday we were playing with all the new truck parts and debating on whether or not to hang a pair of truck nuts off the back bumper (vetoed) when we discovered OnStar. I had been pushing the button over and over again, which is located on my rear view mirror, when suddenly a voice came from truck heaven and said "Thank you for calling OnStar, how may I help you today?" I was like, ummmm I dunno. The truck god said "Well Rebecca, I can help you get set up and explain all of your OnStar features for you if you have a few minutes." I'm like uhhhh...... OK! (God knew my name - totally) First he congratulated me (By Name) for my new truck purchase. I said "thank you" right up into the rear view mirror - I mean that is where the button is located. He started telling me what all the buttons were for and which one does what thing, and I interrupted him by saying "Can you like - SEE me?" He said no not really, but he knew that I was at the intersection of Adams and wherever I was. OMG! So then we get to the part about the little phone button, which I had assumed was a way for you to plug in an existing cell phone and use it hands free. Ohhhhh NO! Truck God tells me - It's a flippin CELL PHONE! MY TRUCK IS A BIG GIANT CELL PHONE!! At this point I am giddy and I couldn't stop laughing. He said I was given 30 minutes free to try it out, and I immediately purchased 100 more for $15 which is cheaper than my TracPhone minutes were. Truck God took my credit card info and completed my transaction all through my rear view mirror! All I have to do is push the phone button, say dial, then the number I want to call, and Truck God connects me!! OMFG!! And the minutes are just plain old minutes, no roaming, no long distance, just minutes! Of course this meant an imminent rear view mirror call to Canada. At this point I am wondering if there is a way to fit the truck into my purse. So - I am still laughing hysterically as Truck God tries to tell me all about the other stuff, like trip mapping and roadside assistance when I ask him "Hey so can you help me with my Biology?" He said he was a bit rusty...... So I get done talking with Truck God, and of course I have to place my very first truck phone call to Mackey. I think she was a bit shocked when she answered and realized it was me. Then I giggled hysterically some more and talked to her on the way into WalMart for groceries. I have to wonder what other people in the surrounding cars must have thought if they saw me sitting up there all close to the mirror just yammering my head off with tears in my eyes. I still can't stop giggling. The thought of not having to purchase another cell phone for next semester's night class I have just makes me tingle. I will just use my truck to call home!! *Snicker*
This was NOT a paid post!! I just wanted to share!! I know to some people this is all old hat, but to me, it's like the greatest thing I have ever seen, and the weirdest all at the same time LOL!

SHE'S HERE!! MY NEW BABY!

5:44 AM Posted In , Edit This 11 Comments »

OMG!! She is a beauty I tell ya!! After 35 years of driving some real pieces of shit and a few decent vehicles, I finally got one that is just mine all mine!! I feel like a redneckhippyprincess! This baby is awesome, and the kids have soo soo much more room than they did in the car! She had 56 miles on her when we drove her away. Eeeeeee!!

PPHead reluctantly allowed me one article of mirror bling. Only ONE. I can see his reasoning though, because if the mirror falls off, the OnStar falls off with it. That would suck. And I am only allowed my keys with 2 little decorations - no more. Of all the fun sucking..... No stickers, no smart ass bumper stickers, no eating, hell no kids allowed! Haha!

I have owned a red late 70's dodge colt, a 77 chevy nova that had no floor on the driver's side and had to be started with a screwdriver, a 78 mercury cougar that was so big and long that I couldn't park it anywhere without wrecking it - and every time I stopped at a stop light it would die. Those were just a few of the worst, but they got me by for shure! What beater cars have you had? Special memories or children conceived in them??

MY FIRST NEW VEHICLE EVER!!!

5:11 AM Posted In , Edit This 14 Comments »

This - is what our new truck will look like!! We are going to go to McPherson today to pick it up and it's brand new!!! I have never had a brand new vehicle of any kind, but one time I had one that was the same year as the year we were in. That was cool too. We did a ton of researching, test driving, hornswaggling, and wheelin and dealin with several different dealers before making our final decision. We looked at used trucks, new trucks, and even a few cars and vans. This one is a 2007 Chevy Silverado Crew Cab LT. It comes with a 5 year/100,000 mile warranty on the big stuff, plus the regular factory warranty on all the other stuff, which is something we were looking for. We get OnStar service free for one year, and also that satellite radio thingy free for one year. (not the kicker, but a plus) The back seat is bigger than our cars' and has 3 shoulder belts, plus a built in child seat in the middle - so no more icky booster seats yayyyyy! There of course will be no eating or smoking allowed either. No frickin way. So anyhow, we were able to find rebates of $4000, got a good trade value for our car, and we will no longer be upside down!! This is the longest time we have ever taken to buy a vehicle, but I think that has always been our problem. We didn't research and we just kind of jumped into the first decent thing that came along. This time we were able to take control and really check things out. We started looking for vans, but they were either way out of our budget, or just plain unreliable. I looked at everything on Consumer Reports (Thanks Doc!) and found out what to stay away from - which is why we didn't get 4 wheel drive on this truck, and also that our current car, a 2004 Chevy Malibu is definitely a used car to stay away from. It has been good to us, but we did have the ignition switch go out, and a few other minor problems that were all covered under warranty thank god. Overall, this truck and what we need it for seems to be the best value for the money, and we ended up getting it for way way less than what other dealers wanted to charge us for the exact same truck USED! Plus they are filling it up with gas so this is good. We loved our last Silverado so much, and we never had any problems with it. I am so excited and I am sure I will be posting some photos of it soon!!

NAUGHTY LITTLE GIRL

5:39 AM Posted In , Edit This 3 Comments »

Another weekend passed by with still no win of the lottery. Yay. Yesterday I went in the living room to have a seat on the comfy chair, and notice in big giant black letters, was written the name "Riley." So I asked her if she did it (was obviously her handwriting) and she said yes. I asked her why - she said because she couldn't find any paper! Um... ok. Needless to say she is again without cartoons until Tuesday, and I made her scrub the chair for about 20 minutes. It came off thank god. I dunno what the fascination is about coloring on everything BUT paper with her. I am all for creative expression, but come on already!

HALLOWEEN FUN GAME!

9:52 AM Posted In , Edit This 2 Comments »
You can visit THIS SITE to practice carving your own punkin!! Then you get to light it up of course. Here is what I did, and the kids are having fun taking turns at it too, although they are much more creative at making scary ones than I am. It is hard to believe that trick-or-treat day is almost here! Are you dressing up for Halloween? My Daddy is putting together a nice pirate's costume - he loves to freak out the grandkids you know! I can't decide yet if I want to dress up or not, but it would be fun to go to school that way! Heehee!

WEIRD STORM CLOUDS

6:58 PM Posted In , Edit This 3 Comments »

I shot these the other day - part of the storm system that sent tornadoes out everywhere. I can't remember ever seeing anything like this set, but all we got here in town was some pretty good rain. Did anyone see the report about that little baby who was found underneath a bunch of rubble? What a miracle. Gives a person hope....

GLOW IN THE DARK GOOP

6:29 PM Posted In , , Edit This 5 Comments »

And we have a plasma lift off!! I love this stuff. It's fascinating. I have about 50 more tubes of it to play with too. I think I should actually save a few of the bracelets for the kids to wear trick-or-treating though. Oh god my OCD. I can't help it. I wanna break them open and take pictures and not pills and splatter it all over the side of the garage. It's supposed to rain on Sunday anyhow so it would wash away eventually. What else is there to do besides biology? The weekend is here!!

TRUCK OR VAN?

6:19 PM Posted In , Edit This 4 Comments »

I hate shopping for vehicles. Hate hate hate it! We looked at this one - a Dodge for cyrin out loud. I really don't want a Dodge. They suck really. But it's supposed to be the best and safest mini-van on the market. Gag. We desperately need more room - and term life insurance that covers me falling out at the car dealing from having to wait too long for the stupid salesmen to catch a clue that I am not stupid. We looked at some Chevy Silverado Trucks too. I really want one of those more. Chevy's rock. The problem with all of it is finding a way to not be upside down on the loan. And keeping the payments in the budget. They should offer a class on how to screw with the car salesmen as hard as they screw with you.....

HAVE YOU PICKED YER PUNKINS YET?

6:11 AM Posted In , Edit This 7 Comments »

Rye and Shane with all the punkin glory!

Sissy had to help with getting the punkins out of the bin, Shane picked the biggest one he could find of course!

The only thing we are lacking in preparation for Halloween is the candy. There's not much point in buying that yet because it would all disappear before the big night anyways. Rye is going to be a fairy princess (who could have seen that one coming) and her dress lights up with fiber optic lights! Shane - Ninja - again. Yu-Gi-Oh! to be exact. He's obsessed I tell ya. PPHead took the night off as a vacation day so he could go around with us. The last few years he has always had to work, and that has been a bummer. We are having a pretty good little festival over the Halloween weekend here, and the school has finally wizened up and given the kids the day off the next day. I guess they finally got tired of dealing with the sugar crashing!

HORSIES ARE COOL

4:46 AM Posted In , Edit This 9 Comments »

I know there are a lot of folks out there who ride horses on a regular basis, some who even raise them. When I was a little kid, about 13, I got to ride a horse for the very first time. I was at church camp, and (yes I said church) my horse was a big white one named Ajax. He was huge and a little intimidating, but so gentle and beautiful. We didn't put on no fancy equestrian riding apparel, just our worn out blue jeans to a well weathered saddle. It was a feeling of freedom I will never forget. I really wish we had some place near here that we could go ride for a couple of hours. None of my kids have ever had the chance, besides the tethered ponies at the fair. Another dream, another wish....

MY LATEST PROJECT

7:20 PM Posted In , Edit This 5 Comments »

This was kind of fun, but alas - it is only the beginning. Now I have to draw it with pencils and stuff. I call it "Home Theater Carpet." Why do I call it that? Well because it looks like a cool rug with the movie that is my life stomped into it. That's why. I started out by taking some photos of things that I see in my everyday life. Our class was told to put them into some kind of time line, and the best thing I could come up with was a clock. My clock of course is screwed. I also had to eliminate about 400 thousand things that should be there because I am not drawing all that. Besides, there are just some things that should never be put on paper. Ya know?

Here ya go Mackey! You can use the pic for your screensaver now! LOL! This photo has to be one of my favorites too - I just wish I had been able to capture it in time for the fair competition this year! Oh well, maybe next year eh?

This morning I want to give a shout out to some really cool bloggers running around on the planet out there. Check them out and see what you think!

First there is a pretty cool dude named Aaron Cook, who featured my blogs last weekend in his Sunday Love! That was insanely groovy. I didn't even pay him or anything! :P

Ok so then there is Crystal. Oh My Gawd Ya'll! I don't even have any words. Mackey first showed her site to me, and I have been stalking her ever since. She is very unique, and makes me pee myself with laughter!

Last but not least - have a visit at Autumn's place. Her toilets started acting out like naughty children shortly after mine did. She is a super nice lady with a lot going on in her life right now.

Ok, so go say hello and meet some new folks if you so desire! This blogosphere thing is cool.

WHAT DOES THUNDER LOOK LIKE?

4:44 PM Posted In Edit This 1 Comment »

Don't you ever wish you could SEE thunder? It's raining buttstacks here right now, and I adore the sound of rain and thunder. When it starts, it's like a slow rumble, then kaBOOM! It's almost like an orgasm a little. Maybe that's what it is. The sky's orgasm...... I mean, ya see the lightning, you know it's coming, and then POW! I dunno know either....

DID YOU EVER WANT TO CUT ONE OPEN?

So we did cut one open. Now our whole back yard looks like a crime scene. But a cool one with no blood. Just ooze from the glo sticks. We got a ton of cool abstract photos with a handful of them. Some folks liked my scotch tape so much, I figured I would try photographing a pair of scissors. Evile scissors at that! Mwuaaaaahaaahaaahahaaa! Sorry - Me an Halie snuck out tonight just the two of us and went to a really super scary haunted house. I almost peed my pants. Why is it so much fun to be scared shitless?

FOR MCMACKEY MOOB MONGER...

12:05 AM Posted In , Edit This 1 Comment »

PPHead said he will send a photo of his moobs over to yer collection Mack! He wants to know if you want him riding on the K-mart Merry-Go-Round showing them off, or if you would rather see him in some sexy lingerie!! LMAO! You know this is really bad, because tommorow me an PPHead have to spend some time taking photos of each other's nipple pillows. Ewwwww!!
So men send the moobie shots to Mack, and womans send the boobies shots to G-man! By the time this gets finished, baboombies will be everywhere, and I will get to see G-man in some girly hair!!!

Oh yeah - screw you Jeff Gordon, you wee little man. I dislike you stongly and you may now sit in the pit of yuckiness with Tony Stewart. Tards.

LITTLE ONE GROWING UP

6:52 AM Posted In , Edit This 2 Comments »

Little Shane's birthday is coming up at the beginning of November. I always dread this time of year because we have Halloween, his birthday, Thanksgiving, PPHead's birthday, Christmas, and then Rye's birthday. This means a strict budget, and one gift for birthdays. He has asked for video games and Yu-Gi-Oh! Cards, and we have even considered one of those cool little RC airplanes as well. I think it would be better to get him something he could play with outside, but since we took away video games for the summer, he has been asking and asking to play them again. His grades are perfect, and he gets outside every day to run, so I am thinking it would be ok. I just don't like the idea of him parked in front of the TV for too long. Do you let your kids play video games? If so is there a time limit?

RUNNING OUT OF ROOM

5:30 AM Posted In , Edit This 2 Comments »

I just used my last free day of Photoshop 9 that came with my Intro to Digital Class. I guess we are supposed to buy it now. It came as part of a package of CS2, but now CS3 is up and running, just not at out school. I could try CS3 for free I think, but I am running out of room on my hard drive to try and install any more big packages like these. This totally sucks because I just learned how to use quick masking and layer masking, which is totally cool for putting other peoples heads on other people's bodies. Or heads on monkeys. Or cleaning up this photo for use in yet another class assignment. Grrrrrr!

SEND HIM YER BOOBIES!!

5:26 AM Posted In , Edit This 7 Comments »

G-Man is supporting breast cancer awareness month by offering up a buck a boob! Have a look over there, then email him yer boobies for a great cause! No not yer real boobies - a photo of your boobies! I think we should send him so many boobs that his whole blog fills up with them so it makes a giant boob poster! Would you ever leave your computer then G??? LOL!
Seriously though, it's for a good cause, the fight that too many women must face every day. I am willing to bet that almost everyone knows someone who is being affected by it, or has survived it. Let's help G-man save the worlds' boobies!!

LIGHTS IN THE DARK

Since I am not allowed to play with sticks of fire anymore, I had to find something new to play with. I did, and looky what I made - with help from my kiddos! We had fun playing in the dark!

Our potties have been fully restored to normal working order, and we also got a new front door - with a 1/2 inch gap in between the door and the frame sowecanseeoutside but at least we got a new door - yeah. I wasn't surprised because fatboy put in the door while hottysoldierman was down in the yuck fixing the sewer.

I have to create a tabloid cover for photoshop class today. I haven't read one for years, so I gotta do a search for one to see just what they look like. I think I have my ideas down, I just have to figure out how to put them together. My headline is going to be "Tips From The Trailer." Heeehee!!

SOMETHING TO SHARE FOR THOSE WITH KIDS

6:27 PM Posted In Edit This 7 Comments »

I got something in the mail today that I would like to share with my readers who have children or who are about to have children. As soon as our kids learn to walk, they also learn to RUN! And run they do! If you have three children like I do, you also know they each pick a different direction to run in as well. This can make outings a bit on the stressful side to say the least. Today I got a set called "Child Guard" which is one of a line of self defense products. It comes with a key chain receiver for me, and a velcro bracelet unit that I put on Riley.

I decided to test it out at the grocery store, which is one of the places I have the most trouble keeping tabs on all the kids. I let Rye wonder in front of the shopping cart, and just before she got ready to turn the corner on me, the unit on my key chain started beeping, letting me know she had walked out of my "comfort zone." For me that is about 12 feet, but the unit can be set for anywhere from 3 to 21 feet to sound the alarm. It is also loud enough that Rye was able to hear it, signaling her that she had gone too far and needed to come back to momma. I think this little baby would be awesome for going to the park too. Sometimes you get to yappin with another mom, and all it takes is that one second and you don't know where your child has gone. This lets you know immediately and I think will provide an extra sense of security when you want to let your kids be kids and at the same time know exactly where they are going. I liked it so much, I am sending one to a friend who has a lively little toddler on her hands! This might be just what she was in need of for easing those worries of a youngster learning to sleep in a toddler bed!

I HATE PUBLIC BATHROOMS

6:12 AM Posted In Edit This 10 Comments »

So we have workers in the house finally, fixing all the plumbing and the sewer lines ect. This means a bit of inconvenience on our part, being as we cannot use our bathrooms. Yesterday I had two choices - one, a bucket in the garage. I opted for choice number two for my number two. Yes. The bathroom at the Walmart.

Have I ever mentioned that I take pictures of EVERYTHING? Yeah. So while option number two was taking place, I had my little camera out shooting away. This while the lady in the next stall was audibly taking deep breaths and holding them as long as possible. PPHead said I was in there for a while, and the other ladies were running out screaming.

WHAT???

I really hope they get the toidies at the house working today.....

WEEKEND FROM HELL - MOSTLY

5:37 AM Posted In , , Edit This 8 Comments »
Firstly - HAPPY THANKSGIVING to all my Canadian friends! So like - did you guys have your own kind of Mayflower with pilgrims and stuff?? :)
So Saturday PPHead was having a shower, and when he turned off the water, a pipe broke under the house and we could hear it spraying ungodly amounts of water all over the place. It took about 30 minutes to get it shut off because our outside water shutter offer was buried in hard dirt. Of course my landlord was out of town and that asshead actually hung up on me! Like I crawled under there and bit the water pipe in half just to piss him off or something?! A repair dude showed up and fixed that pipe, then told us our sewer line that leads out the the city sewer line was also busted. Go figure. We had him call the landlord, so now we have a "meeting" this morning at 10 am with him. I have a feeling he's going to kick us out rather than fix anything. I mean - if he wasn't, why wouldn't he just get people over here to start working on the stuff? We did go out and look at a few houses, but they were either shitholes, or out of our school district. One we looked at was livable but more expensive, but if we have to take it, I guess we do. The landlords are nice, and all the major stuff is new or well kept up. Even the basement was clean - which is amazing for concrete walls. The kitchen has a little fruit shaped wall sconce on the wall that would match my booth. Eh, maybe. It's an old 2 story house that is on the historical list. Maybe it's haunted even?! Ooooooo.
A big Haahaa to Tony Stewart this weekend at Talladega! That's what ya get fat boy! At least my Jimmy Johnson took second - he's gonna win it all anyways so neener neener!
I still have to figure out what's up with my dot com site. I have got it as a blogger thingy, but I am so utterly limited on my ftp phb bbt dds blah blah dot com hosting domain stuff that it's just dumb. It has taken me two years just to figure out how to barely learn what I know about html. I like blogger - a lot. It's just comfy like pie....

HELP WANTED: WORDPRESS DESIGNER

12:42 PM Posted In Edit This 11 Comments »
SO - for under $10, I bought a years worth of hosting and my own domain name. Now I need someone to make my site the way I want it! I am looking for some help in making a customizable Wwordpress template, that is able to have widgets, with a sidebar I can edit whenever I want to. Actually I want my template to be exactly like my blogger template right here, only usable in Wordpress. I want to be able to use a different header, and change it whenever I want to. If this is even humanly possible, please email me if you are interested at kshippychic@hotmail.com. I can't afford much so the pay is really really crappy. Thanks!

LOOKIT!!!

10:29 PM Posted In Edit This 8 Comments »

I just wanted to show those who are interested what I got in the mail today! My official certificate of membership! They are having an induction ceremony on the 9th, but I can't go because PPHead has to work. It's ok though, cuz my Dad could never sit through something like that anyways. I'm hoping he can just make it through my graduation. Good thing my last name starts with a B! Aunt Sissy would come, but then she would have to sit with all the kids, and they would talk her head off and they would all miss everything, so it's just as well. The happy part comes from knowing I did it, and now I have to start framing things like this for my future office! Thank you guys for supporting me, and encouraging me to go for my dreams!

HAHA! I WON!

8:04 PM Posted In Edit This 1 Comment »

I won the full version of the new Monopoly video game from playing online with the pieces off my chicken samwich. I NEVER beat the computer - till now! Haahaa you stupid coffee cup - I kicked yer ass!
My dad is so hooked on playing the Monopoly game at McD's - I think he goes for breakfast there every day during the promotion. This is good for me because then I get to kipe all his little pieces to play the online game. Remember when they had the big Beanie Baby craze? We had collected every single one of those suckers! I was saving them all in a big ol tub in the garage till last year when we had a sale, and PPHead sold them all "on accident" for $5 fricken dollars. I do still somehow have my Princess Diana bear, and my Peace bear. Mabye some day they will put the little kids in college. Yeah.

I did it. I get paid on Monday, so PPhead loaned me the cash to purchase supplies. More like the best medication in the whole world if you ask me. I got a few tubes of oil paint and a 20x30 canvas to slap it on. I already had a few big tubes of cheap acrylic and a set of brushes, leftover from ages ago, so I figured what the hell. I mixed the oil with the acrylic (cardinal sin) left the canvas dry with no gesso, and got out some photos and a hot glue gun. This is the state I finally left it in tonight. I think this will take me quite some time before I come to something I can call finished, but I like the shape it seems to be taking all by itself. For a few hours, I was alone in the house, door open, natural light streaming in, silence. The stifled shower faucets in my head released, and poured my thoughts onto the canvas. It was like I had no control of where things went, or what color they became. They just became. Shapes formed out of feelings. Ripping anger, hurt, depression, tears and energy right out of my body. I am exhausted now, but alive with something new and more powerful inside of me than I have words to describe. Bigger than the madness of insanity.

CHANGING WITH THE SEASONS

So whaadaya think of my new blog design here? At first I wanted to do a Halloween theme, but the header scared the crap out of even me so I ditched that idea. In my photoshop class, we have been learning about making custom pens and brushes, so I figured I would give that a try, and ended up with my little swirly jiggermabobbers. It ends up being a lot of fun. For a while now I have been thinking of getting my own dot com, but I only know a little bit about coding, and most of that knowledge just came from trial and error. I need to have my own domain with my own hosting, which leaves me to wonder how I make a blog out of it when I get it. Does it come with a blog set-up, or am I supposed to use something like wordpress or dreamweaver? I love my blogger template, but I think I want something more customizable, like with different pages and stuff. I want to work on some old ideas and put together a way to make a nice little income from it. The more I think about it, I am going to school for visual communications. So wouldn't it then be logical if I could run a website/blog for a living? Especially since it would incorporate every skill I have ever learned at school? Journalism, photography, graphic design, small business, advertising. Instead of going out to become the local paper's advertising photographer, I could have total control of the whole deal for a whole lot more money. Plus I could work from home and be there for my kids without missing anything. I already make more than what I could at a part time "real" job just by doing the little bits of advertising that I do here. I know some people are totally against advertising on blogs, but I think anymore it is just a given. It's in the middle of our TV shows, that's how newspapers make the bulk of their money, magazines too. I really don't think it is that much different to have it on a blog. I just really like the idea of being able to work, and be with my kids, all the while using my education. What do you think?

LEAD POISONING WITH GRAPHITE.....

So here is my latest little work of art, if you can call it that! I did it in graphite this time, which was not my favorite until I discovered big honkin sticks of it! Now I kinda like it as long as I have an eraser. A new art tool I was introduced to was a smudge stick. It's kinda like a tiny roll of cardboard with a tip on it. I dunno what it is made out of for sure. I like it though. I had to take a photo of it at school, and sorry it's so blurry, but anyhow my teacher is going to hang it up! Now I always figured that my photos would get hung up in there at some point, and even class assignments that are pretty cheesy, but this kinda like made my whole day. He didn't take everyone's to hang. Maybe it is for example, that even people who think they have no ability at all, can actually be taught over time. I wish I could run out to Hobby Lobby and grab up a hugemongo canvas and some thick yummy oil paints and brushes. I have been inspired and now all these insane ideas are floating around in my brain! I need to get them owwwwwwwwt! Out I say!!

SNIFFING PURPLE FUMES

I dyed my hair. Again. The whole top of my head was showing mostly grey hairs, and I am not goin down like that. Nupe. I had some blondish highlights that looked like they melted down the side of my head, but those are now just a really bright red. I went for a box of "mahogany" color, but with the red that is already in my hair, I have ended up with a darkish purpleyredbrown. Kinda cool in the sun, but the kids will be in a slight shock when they get home. Now I just need some groovy costume jewelry and a big bottle of whiskey and I am good to go. Oh well, at least the greys are gone for now.... I give it three weeks tops.
I usually make a huge mess when I attempt this stuff at home, but this time I amaze even myself with the fact that I somehow managed to get some on the ceiling. I dunno either........

ONE PERSON CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE

My little son brought this home to me this afternoon. I can't help but share my proud Mommy moments because they are the best gift a mom could ever get! Of anything I attempt to do, the one thing that makes the biggest difference in this world, is the way I choose to raise my children. Though my mother thought I would fail, so far I have succeeded in more ways than she ever could have. I am not by any means perfect as a mom, and there are days when I feel that I am the worst parent on the planet, but today I know that I have taught my son respect. Respect for himself, and respect for others. Maybe he will be that "one" who can change the world.....

THINKING IS NOT ENOUGH

"Thinking is not enough.
Nothing is.
There is no final enough of wisdom, experience -- any fucking thing.
No Holy Grail, no Final Satori, no final solution.
Just conflict.
Only thing can resolve conflict is love,
like I felt for Fletch and Ruski, Spooner and Calico.
Pure love.
What I feel for my cats present and past.
Love? What is It?
Most natural painkiller what there is.
LOVE." - W.S.B.

Today I'm in search of purple silk trees.
The kind that brighten the black of winter,
add color to my grey mind.... - R.A.B.
