ODE TO JULIET

9:17 AM Posted In , , Edit This 11 Comments »

Juliet the hornworm, eating and eating and eating.... such a cute little thing she was. Alas. No more.

We took her outside to clean out her jar, and we noticed she immediately started to dig down into the ground.... this was puzzling.

She was starting to turn colors too, and wasn't as shiny as she used to be. We looked up on the internet what she should be doing next, and found out that she needs to burrow down into the dirt to complete her next phase of becoming a pupa.

Soooo we filled her jar with dirt, and watched as she disapeared down into the earth. Bye Bye for now Juliet. If it is warm enough in the house, in about 2 weeks she will emerge from the dirt as a big beautiful hummingbird moth. If not, we will not see her again until the spring.
Not only did my son get to do his research project, we all learned something new in watching this mysterious lazy little creature do her thing. She would fall asleep while eating, and boy did she poop a lot!
See you again soon Juliet!

DEAR MISTER PRESIDENT...

Why would you veto a bill that would give millions of children health insurance in this country? Are you really going to do that? I believe that not so many years ago, you stated to the people who voted for you that children's health insurance would be one of your top priorities. Was that just another lie? You see I am stuck in the middle, above the below and below the upper - I'm stuck in the middle where money gets tight. I need that help with insurance for my children that you want to take away. Without it my kids would not have their glasses. They would not get to go to the dentist, and god forbid they fall ill. There has been some talk about how the kids will be required to have health insurance before they can go to school. Well that's just great for the poor, and not a concern of the rich. The burden falls solely on people like me. I am working on building something more for myself and my family, but in the meantime I need this bit of help. I have read you want to help people with real estate payments, and that you want to pay out all this money to make sure that flights are no longer delayed. Why don't you let the companies in charge of selling tickets on their own airplanes deal with most of that? I mean I know you need to revamp some things with the congested radar situation and that is fine, but no one is going to die if their flight is an hour late. Without health, kids cannot learn, and these kids that you want to let disappear now, are the kids that will be the United States when the rest of us are dead and buried. Shame on you Mister President.

IT'S NOT SANE

See the perty sunrise I got to live in this morning? I took this while driving the kids to school. Yes I can drive and take pictures at the same time. They just don't come out as good. The sun was so big. Neat - I know.
Is it just me or is everyone going to drug treatment these days? And why do they call it "rehab" anyway? Does anyone really get rehabilitated? Or do they all just get out and go do the same shit over and over again? Like those one girls that are always on the news. Maybe they just do it all for publicity. I don't know, but it seems to be a fashion, not a solution.

STOP THE ABUSE! PROTECT OUR CHILDREN!

Bloggers Unite

I am more than happy to take part in this cause today because I have seen it most of my life, and still everyday. Children. Our children. How anyone can hurt a child is so far beyond my brain's capacity to digest, but it is happening right now. Children being beaten, molested, raped, and even murdered. Mental abuse, neglect, it is happening in our own communities and destroying the lives of innocent children who did not ask to be born into this world. As a survivor, I know first hand the unrepairable damage it can cause to a persons soul. There has to be an end, and there has to be a way to make the people in charge of prosecuting abusers, listen to the children! Many cases of child molestation are never prosecuted due to "lack of evidence." As ridiculous as it sounds, without a witness, or physical indication, another little 6 year old girl is going to see no justice for what has been done to her. Can we live with this?
It is time for tougher laws and stricter punishments. It is time to stop letting child abusers walk. Stop the abuse.

I got to try out ink today in drawing class. We used brushes and calligraphy pens, which was cool because I haven't used a calligraphy pen since like the eighth grade. I think it was one of the last art supplies my parents ever got for me. I left my drawing at school to dry or I would show it to you...
I want a viewsonic monitor for my computer. Wait, no - I just want a new computer. This one is full. I only have like 20% of my memory left. Of course that probably applies to my brain as well....
Have you ever seen Foohy Markers? They smell way too good for markers. Especially the chocolate chip one....
For some reason, I really want to play with playdough....
Yup. It's been one of those really strange days. Too much marker sniffing.

IT ISN'T A PENIS!

PEOPLE EAT THESE??

5:43 AM Posted In , Edit This 8 Comments »

Ewww, with fried green tomatoes even. I don't think I could ever eat a caterpillar. Gag. It is amazing what some people consider to be food.

I can't wait to see what she looks like as a big ol moth. She actually ate a hole through the top and escaped for some play time. The kids adore her and will be sad when she flies away...

WELL THAT WAS A PISSER - IT'S MONDAY!

Ok - so Shane Michael FINALLY lost his front tooth - almost 8 years old - never heard of such a thing. He looks so cute!

I flunked my first biology test. I got a 64 out of 100. I hate biology and protons and atomic mass blah blah blah.... I pray for extra credit or else my Phi Theta Kappa membership money was just completely wasted. That shit is far too complicated for my lowly art major self.

I also dropped my speech class. I will do it next semester - in the classroom. The online version required vhs tapes and an instructor in Tennessee.

I missed my drawing class this morning. Because of a blog hack due to BlogMad's demise. Thanks assholes. Why would it be so important as to miss class? Because this is my part time job - I get paid to blog. This blog supplements our family income. It puts food on the table and clothing on my children.

MY BLOG HAS BEEN HIJACKED!! ASSHOLES!

PREGNANT BELLY LOVE

10:30 AM Posted In , Edit This 7 Comments »

I got to work in the photo studio at school yesterday morning, and it was a lot of fun! My friend is going to have her baby just about anytime now, and she wanted to get some shots of her cute little pregnant belly. This is her first little baby, and her and her husband don't know yet if it is a girl or a boy. They are waiting for the best surprise you could ever get in your whole life. PPHead and I didn't know with Rye either. I can still remember that feeling, one like no other, when my mom choked out the words "She's a girl Becky." Those words were the most awesome I had ever heard....

MY TWO BRAINS DON'T COMMUNICATE

5:31 AM Posted In , , Edit This 8 Comments »

This is our caterpillars poo. Yes I did. It is called "Frass," and is not quite the size of a rabbit turd. I shit you not. My little boy and I found this out while working on his research project. We also found out that this one is the biggest caterpillar that can be found in our area, and that ours is but a wee baby still.

We put her in a jar - not quite Arizona luxury real estate for the poor gal, but it is safer than being outside. The kids have named her "Juliet." We found out she will transform into a hugemongo moth, sometimes called a hummingbird moth. They fly around in the late afternoon and dip into the flowers for the nectar, and are sometimes mistaken for hummingbirds because of their size.Very weird!

CHALK AND CHARCOAL

My first "keeper." For me I think it's the best thing I have ever drawn. Not perfect by any means, not something others might enjoy, but I did it. I spent 4 hours on this one. For Christmas I am asking PPhead for charcoal paper. And a box of chalk....

THE CATERPILLAR STORY

6:16 AM Posted In , Edit This 9 Comments »

I found this yummy caterpillar in my garden munching on one of my tomato plants. He had nearly devoured the whole thing. So I snatched him up and put him in a jar, and Shane Michael is now doing his research project about him. I hope he spins himself into his chrysalis soon. Should be interesting to watch. I found out he is called a Tomato Hornworm. If they run out of the actual plant to eat, they will start digging in to the fruits and eat them all up too. Ugly little thing aint he? Looks like he has eyeballs all over his whole body. It's just a disguise of nature though, a neat little trick to fool all his predators. He has the absolute biggest turds I have ever seen come from a worm. Like rabbit turds I tell ya. Unfortunately he won't be turning into a beautiful butterfly, just a great big ugly moth. Destined to eat more shit.

RELAXING PHOTOS NOT TAKEN BY ME

I should be studying for my biology test, but I found myself looking at gorgeous photos instead.

Just some pictures of where I would like to be right now, or what you could find in the way of Mendocino lodging if you were so inclined to visit.
I know I could use a good vacation right about now. Find some serenity.

Nothing better than a nice comfy warm bed. Of course some us get to use ours more than others. I guess it's true you can sleep when you're dead.

How's this for a view? You can see so much. Yes, I would like to go there, be alone with myself and quietness. No domestic chores, no homework, no drama, just peace. That would be good.
Yeah - I'm delusional....

TODAY'S A NEW DAY..

8:02 AM Posted In Edit This 13 Comments »

We finally drained the pool yesterday, then it rained half the night and is still sprinkling a little. Ok now a lot.... go figure.

Got a peek at the sunrise this morning through the trees.

All summer I have been throwing out vegetation waste and leftover seed heads and mulching them up in the garden dirt beside the back porch. I got some sunflowers as a nice little surprise. They will bloom just in time to greet the first day of fall.

Sorry to everyone that needed to comment here through the anonymous system, but some folks having another go at me, made me have to disallow anonymous comments. They were posting comments as me, which were quite obviously not from me, so to avoid further troll issues I felt like that was the best thing to do. If you get a comment on your blog that looks like it is from me, and even links back to my blog directly, without my little photo, it is not from me. I would not be intentionally rude to anyone by leaving such ignorance. That is the only part of the blogosphere that is just so downright stupid. Hateful jealous people with nothing better to do than troll about and trash on others. I have a pretty good idea of who it was, but whatever. I'm not into playing the little game and worrying about your stupid group of mindless followers. Have a blast. Really.

HIPPY BATH DAY!!

9:15 PM Posted In Edit This 112 Comments »

Today we had my Daddy's birthday party! Here he is wearing the blanket sarong that we got him, and his new peace sign necklace the kids picked out. Hippy Jesus I say. Complete with his flowing crown. Heehee!
Dad gets cold during his dialysis, and a regular blanket is hard for him to navigate around in, so with a sarong, he can have his arms and hands free and still keep warm. Tie dye anything is cool with him, so this was groovy!

Ohhh the cake. It is a replica of Dad's "watermelon shorts" as we liked to call them. He wore them for ages as swimming trunks. The very first time I took Mar to my parent's house to go swimming, he wore the shorts, was climbing down the ladder, and there were his balls, hanging for everyone to see. That was forever ago and has been a standard source of jokes and laughter since. Thus the cake. Today was no different as the jokes were running in full force. Like - when he blew out the candles, I almost peed my pants laughing at his "blow job."

Presentation of the Peace Sign present....
Somehow there was wrapping paper in my closet that says "peace." Go figure.

My dad is such a TarTar. He's so fricken cool though, and I know now where I get my twisted sense of humor! The man cracks me up....

Aunt Sissy (Dad's sister) came and celebrated with us too! She's our favorite Aunty you know! Riley was bein a ham for the camera of course....

This - was the best part of the whole day. My Dad has always had a smile that could light up the sky. It had been a while since I'd seen him flash one of these. He looks so good, so much healthier now, his color coming back. He's getting out more, going fishing a LOT, and he is much more like himself. Dialysis isn't so bad he says, and I am glad about that. Sixty-one years young, and not letting life's curve balls get the best of him. I love you Dad. You are my hero.

HOW TO ENTERTAIN A FAMILY OF FIVE AT THE STATE FAIR FOR TWO DOLLARS

11:36 PM Posted In Edit This 6 Comments »

Yes, it really can be done. A family of five, the State Fair, and $2. PPHead's company had the annual picnic at the fair again this year, so we got tickets for the whole family to get in for free. They treated us to a catered dinner of BBQ, and then provided some entertainment with a magician. The kids really dug that. He ate fire. Then they had a door prize drawing, and Riley won a Doodle Bear, then PPHead won a vanilla diffuser set. He let me have it of course.

We don't ride the rides, we watch the rides. It costs anywhere from $3 to $5 per ride per person, so it really isn't something we could do. My kids were happy just to be at the fair, and we didn't have any meltdowns about not getting to participate in that aspect. Thank God.

What we do is go "free shopping" so to speak. We visited the booths, one after the other, even the one devoted entirely to Dodge Charger accessories. I watched the dude with the cool squiggle mops, and the lady with the magic chopper making salsa. We stopped in at the Miracle Blade booth and asked them what we should do about ours - they rusted. At every turn there was someone offering free trinkets of one kind or another, and the kids thought we were trick-or-treating without costumes. They are covered in college tattoos, stuffed full of candy, and completely supplied with rulers and pencils for the next 12 or 57 school years. I got at least a months supply of band aids, a new travel mug, and even a new pill box. My refrigerator is now wallpapered with magnets from every place imaginable, and I found out my blood pressure was a bit high tonight. Go figure. Then there are the free shows - gotta love the poor guy trying to sing John Lennon songs. Yikes! I think I was most fascinated with the hypnotist. I wonder if a guy can really make 20 people on stage do all that. That being the "Banana Song" off Beetlejuice. It looked convincing enough! Riley even got her photo taken with a giant walking cell phone. Of all things....
So what did we spend our $2 on? Water. Two bottles of ice cold water!

RANDOM BULLSHIT ON FRIDAY

6:19 PM Posted In Edit This 6 Comments »

My teacher made me do my word thing over again... so I did. Kinda. I have to take a biology test this weekend sometime. Gag. I don't care who's isotopes got stuck in what's thingymajiggers or how much heat it takes to make them dance.

My babies got their glasses this afternoon. Shane looks like a professor, or maybe chicken little to me. But really cute so it's ok. Rye looks sooo soo innocent..... baaaaahaaaaaha! Halie's glasses that she just got last week have already fallen apart. Go figure. The Doc's office let her pick out new ones from a different manufacturer for free. Gee thank you. I am deeply disturbed by the fact that every single person in a family of five must wear glasses. Rye hates hers and I am sure to find them half flushed down the toilet at some point.

This cool dude from our rockin ass radio station told me that OZZY is coming with ROB ZOMBIE to Wichita!! Yeeeeehaaaaaaawl baby! I have seen them both in separate concerts, so this one oughta be insane! I can't remember if he said November or what, but I wanna go. Maybe this time I will just sit in the bleachers though. It can be PPHead and I's date for the year. Our last one was the Nickelback concert in February of 06'. Jeez....

SHANE MICHAELS' GRADE 2 PROJECT

5:06 AM Posted In , Edit This 12 Comments »

Just born baby piggies at the State Fair Birthing Center.

How'd she do that? Sand Sculpture in progress by the Oz Gallery.

The amazing dog show!

Shane's a cowboy now! (Photo by Dad)

As part one of his special project, Shane's mission was to report on the Grade 2 Field Trip to the fair. He was to take photographs, and now he has to write a news report. He will present the package when he is finished on the schools TV program! All the photos except the bottom one were taken by Shane (age 7) and he has started on his report, but isn't quite finished yet. I am hoping to get a copy of his broadcast when he makes it - too cute!
His special project, and then a research paper, are required for him to do before they do the testing on him for the gifted program at school. We had a meeting with a bunch of teachers and counselors, and they decided to have him do these things before they tested him. He must be in the 95th percentile or above for either reading or math to qualify. The last time they checked his reading, he was well above that even. My concern is that he doesn't get bored in school, but I also don't want him to feel pushed into things he isn't ready for. Another thing I would never do is send him up a grade. I think kids need to be with their own peer group to be able to cope socially. So far he is having fun and learning at the same time, so I think we are on the right path. Time will tell eh?

CHARCOAL AND NEWSPRINT

5:26 PM Posted In , Edit This 5 Comments »

I discovered something about myself today! I love to draw with charcoal! Now before you giggle and poke fun at my picture here, just know that I have spent these first few weeks of drawing class trying to understand proportion. Now by no means have I mastered anything, but I think I have a beginning grasp on it now. I spent about 2 hours on this one, while the others around me had complete looking pieces of art. I don't know where the time went though! I actually got lost in something fun, to the point that I didn't want to leave. Last year I won a set of charcoal and pencils from Artalyst, and they have sat virtually untouched. I am going to use them I say! No I may never be a renowned artist of paper and pencils, but I am so happy to find that I am not completely without any kind of ability. I am excited that I took this class, and my teacher is very good. His artwork is amazing. Bonus prize for me getting to look at the hot nerdy teacher from last semester in the hallway too. Heehee!

FAMILY TIME IS PRICELESS

5:41 AM Posted In , Edit This 3 Comments »

My son loves Tony Stewart - and 4-wheelers. We had to pry his little self off this one! We are hoping PPHead gets the day off work on Saturday so we can all go to the fair for his company picnic. We got free tickets to get in, will get free BBQ, a magic show, and this year there's actually door prizes! Today all the school kids have the day off to go ride all the rides for one price. I have class though, and we don't do rides anyway. They look so not safe.
Rye got suddenly ill last night, and ended up with a fever of 102. She said her legs and knees hurt really badly too. It seems like any amount of time spent walking or running for her brings pain. Back to the doctor we will go...
I am in somewhat of a struggle with myself lately. I see all these kids who are lacking parents, food, clothing, shelter, discipline, love, the list goes on and on. My heart just breaks for them. I want to reach out and help in any way I can, but no matter what I do, there are still so many that will suffer. My head knows I can only do the work of one person, but my heart doesn't get it....

KANSAS STATE FAIR 2007

9:14 PM Posted In Edit This 15 Comments »

This was the only one of my photos to place..... 3rd with the Kansas Wheat Commission Contest, which gets me 2 ribbons and $40. I knew it was going to be a bad day when we went to leave and I couldn't find our tickets. Yes I am disappointed, no I didn't cry in front of the kids because they didn't place at all in their categories. The winners were very deserving, with some extraordinary photographs. The rest of our day went wonderfully with perfect weather, no fighting amongst the kids, and the 15 year traditional ice cream cones!

We spent the whole day looking at EVERYTHING! This one was cool, but the OCC Army Cycle was the best!

Halie found Jeeezuss in her ice-cream cone....

Shane Michael decided to become a dairy farmer....

And Rye... well she is the cotton candy fairy princess of course!

I LOVE SURPRISES!!!

Live and in person!!

Last night, I got a surprise that was better than chocolate and diamond rings!! I got a KARI!!! Mar calls me about 8 or so I think, and says Kari is in Newton, Kansas at a truck stop!! So we all piled up in Mar's van and headed that way. With all our children. Five children I say. We met her outside, all of us screaming and hootin an hollerin - it was so cool! And so awesome to finally meet her in person! We miss her so bad here in bloggy land. She is one beautiful little gal for sure. Rye liked to talk her head off too. I had to head on home, but I think she and Mar must have had a full morning, cuz PPHead said they called about 3 am to see if I was coming out to Mar's house. (I just woke up a bit ago)

This morning we are headed off to the fair for the day, gonna see if any of us will be bringing home any pretty ribbons for our efforts. What a cool weekend this has been so far!!

BUT.....

If you google the word "buttstack" - you get my blog at the #1 spot. Holy cow....

MY DAD'S UPCOMING BIRTHDAY PARTY

7:19 AM Posted In , , Edit This 2 Comments »

Last year, me an Mar made my Daddy a trailer park birthday cake for his big 60th. This year we are trying to top it. Since he is going to be 61, I thought a Sweet 16 party would be funny as hell! Make him wear a princess crown, decorate with princess plates, cups, hats and tablecloth, maybe a nice ball gown! *snicker* I can't buy him a car though, and that's what all sweet 16 princesses want for a present. I think we have a better idea as well, but if we do pull that one off, then it will be a surprise for bloggyland too. And way funny - at least to twistos like us. One thing we thought of was for his birthday cards - use invitations to the party - that say ya know - time: now, place: here, ect. He'd laugh. Maybe some Christmas cards too. Last year we gave him mothers day cards. It was insanely funny. Got any funny ideas to make an old hippy laugh on his birthday?? Lemme know!

RANDOM HAPPENINGS

5:29 AM Posted In Edit This 14 Comments »

I got an invitation yesterday to join Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society. I would get to wear the honors stole and tassel at my graduation in May, plus a bunch of other cool stuff. It costs $100 bucks for the lifetime membership fee. Jeez. I have to wonder if all these types of things have fees? I don't think I will be signing up, but it was cool to be invited.

Both Rye and Shane Michael are getting glasses. They went to the eye-guy yesterday, and alas, they are both nearsighted. Shane worse than Rye. Not surprising really as Halie and I are as well. The doc said that age 7-8 is magic numbers for kids getting first pairs of glasses. Poor Riley though - in kindergarten! She picked out a pair of Bratz pink and purple ones, and they look adorable. They get them next week. I got my new ones yesterday, and Halie picks up her new pair this afternoon. A family of four-eyes....

The fair is here!! It's finally here! PPHead has the day off work, so we will all be going on Sunday! Funnel cakes and caramel apples and cotton candy yeeehaaawllll!! We like to walk around and collect the free stuff too. And get tattoos. One of the first places we will head is to the fine arts building, and see how we did with our entries! Everyones tummies are in knots!

I have to do my photoshop assignment all over. Teacher said it was cheezy. Gee golly thanks so much. I don't know how many times I have to tell these people I am not a graphic designer. Hmmpph!

WORKING, GOING TO SCHOOL, MANAGING FAMILY

7:31 AM Posted In Edit This 8 Comments »

I got the days work done yesterday, though I don't really know how. Fifteen pieces of artwork mounted, cut and delivered to the fairgrounds for judging, just in the nick of time too. Our Kansas State Fair starts tomorrow and everyone is so excited! I finished the first part of my photoshop assignment, took my first biology test (A+), missed my drawing class completely, but got in some mundane errand running and "the chore" with PPHead. He's much happier today and has taken the kids to school this morning for the first time since it started. Now I can slow the pace down a little today. This afternoon the two little ones go to the eye doctor to check on their vision and make sure they can still see straight. I have a feeling Shane Michael will be getting glasses, but we will see.
Tomorrows is Grandparent's Day at the school, and since my kids have no one to come and be with them, we are going to go as grandparents. My dad would totally go, but he has dialysis and that really can't be skipped ya know? I know my mother is going to show up, for my brothers kid who is in class with Rye - so I have to go into kindergarten to protect my little one from that nasty woman. I just really don't want her around my children in any capacity right now.
The days are getting busier and busier, and now my gifted little son has some extra projects to work on for school. He is going to be a journalist for a day and report on the grade 2 class trip to the fair. He must take photos, notes, and write a news story, and then he will get to report it on the school's TV program! He is soooo excited about that! I cannot wait to see his photos. PPHead is going with him to ensure that I don't give him any influence - it must all come from his own little brain. Ya ever notice that kids are like sponges? I swear they are all so much smarter than we give them credit for a lot of times.

LAST DAYS OF SUMMER

5:40 AM Posted In , Edit This 1 Comment »

One last swim was the best, but now it is time to say goodbye to the pool for now. It is starting to turn here, with the temperatures in the mid 80's most days. As soon as the fair is gone, it will really start to dip into fall. For the lady who asked about the pool and was it worth the money, I say yes, it was worth it! It takes a little work, keeping it clean and the chemical balanced, but overall it has been a very good product. We put ours up on sand, but the web-site says you aren't supposed to, so next year we will do that part differently. Most important of all is that I taught my kids how to swim. I am a freaky scared mommy, and this was a huge step for them and for me. Rye is even going down slipper slides (smaller ones) all by herself now!
So this week we have to start tearing the pool down and letting it dry for storage. We saved all the boxes, so hopefully we can get them to fit somewhat. Most of the garden is down, except for my tomatoes. I still have stacks of those. Time to welcome in the new season I suppose.

MY FIRST PROJECT.....INTRO CLASS

5:51 PM Posted In Edit This 6 Comments »

Intro to Digital Photography - another love/hate class. When I got this assignment, it felt like typography class all over again, minus the hot nerdy teacher. I miss that guy in a love/hate crush kinda way. Sick sick me. SOooo anyways, we were to apply "treatments" to nine words and make a poster. I immediately got a headache at its announcement and figured I was stuck in another class of pain and torture. Turns out this assignment anyway was a bit therapeutic. I get to scream on paper. Yay! I took an excerpt from the poem I wrote last year called "She Feels," and used it for my inspiration. You can click this pic to make it bigger if you wanna see it more. Lately I have had to fix most of my images because people keep stealing them and using them for their own shit. I don't know whether to be flattered or pissed!

HEEEEEEEEEEEELP ME DECIDE!!!

I can't decide which one of these to enter into the "Nature" category. The year before last, I got first place with a close-up of a bug, but I really like the flower one. I can't decide for myself - someone PLEASE help meeeeeee!! Which one do you like better??

HAPPY LABOR DAY!

HOLIDAY? NOOOOOOOO!

5:11 PM Posted In , Edit This 13 Comments »

I can't believe I live in the middle of freakin Kansas, and I can't find any wheat. No leftovers even on the side of the road, nothing. I had to go and buy a bundle of dried wheat for $6 from Hobby Lobby to compose my wheat photos for the fair. Ridiculous! I couldn't let the year go by without my two entries for it, because the top prize is $75 - that's always worth a shot. I have to get all our artwork up to the fairgrounds on Tuesday, and I still don't have everything done.

School - is completely boring, except for drawing class. I'll never be good at drawing, but maybe my brain will pick up on some things useful for much of art in general. Everything else, makes me want to sleep. I can barely keep my eyes open in "Intro to Digital Photography" which should have been named "Intro to Photoshop." I've been introduced already. Muchly.

The drama in town has finally stopped, with most of the threats from earlier in the week being some jackass thinking he was funny. We had an attempted murder-death-kill, and that is fairly rare for this town. For folks from bigger cities, I guess police sirens and deaths are pretty commonplace and not real newsworthy, but around here it's like the circus came to town. (We get that about once a year too.)

Hope everyone has a fun weekend. Asshead has to work all weekend so we get to stay home and scratch our butts. Yay for the Jerry Lewis Telethon. Free entertainment....
