The powers of media hype

Well here is what we did all day yesterday. We moved almost 10 tons of sand to the back yard with a wheelbarrow and shovels, to level out the ground for the pool. We now own a beach. MarMar came over to help us set up the pool since she has had to do it twice already this year. It finally filled all the way up around 10:00 this morning. It's 18 feet across, but it looks humongo. Of course now it is supposed to rain for the next three days. It's not been as hot this summer as it was last year. I think I am going to have to move my bird feeders too, cuz the birds keep shitting in the pool. Yay.
For the summer, rather than leave my children's minds completely idle, we have started "home schooling" so to speak. We are doing a unit on birds. In our attempt to attract birds to the gardens, we put out seed feeders, and hummingbird feeders. (Still no hummingbirds)

Halie starts working tommorow at her very first JOB!! I think I am going to go a couple hours after she gets there and take pictures. She outta just LOVE that! Heehee! Our philosophy on parenting a kid this age - make them work for it themselves. She wants a car - so she's gonna have to buy one for herself, and pay for her own insurance and gas. This will be a start! Welcome to the real world my darling daughter!
I got this check in the mail today - as payment for potential employment.... well part of it anyways. All I had to do was cash this check at my bank, then go down to the local MoneyGram and send a total of $3,885 to someone named Darry Markland in Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada M3T 7P9. This would cost around $135, which of course $180 in service fee money was included. I would get to keep $820 for all my hard work!! I was then supposed to fax them a "Customer Service Evaluation Sheet" which gave my review of the business, along with the receipt from MoneyGram. Hmmmmmmmm..... Sounds great! And hey the bank is real:
Code of Conduct?? Wow that makes it look super really real!!

"I have to drink HOW MUCH??" (Before pain meds kick in)

PPHead carrying Riley out of the hospital yesterday. She did really well, but is feeling pretty crappy this morning. I hate seeing her feel so bad. She's been having a rough time keeping things down, and is only allowed tylenol for pain which I find totally retarded. Not much sleep around here last night. Hopefully today will be a bit better.
